Heyy im new here, can anyone suggest a skin for spotify without extra plugins to download. I was using laro but weirdly after wanting to try different fonts, it stopped working (it just shows 'by'). Tried reinstalling rainmeter and the skin, its not working:)
So any suggestions or recommendations would help a lot.
Thanks
I'm not that good at recommending skins, so I'll let others to answer that, but generally speaking, Rainmeter only comes with its built-in NowPlaying plugin, which only partially supports older Spotify versions, if at all at this point. So, for certain Spotify versions, the plugin folks use is WebNowPlaying (which is probably used by your Laro skin too). It's possible that other plugins written specifically for Spotify exist, I just didn't see any that might be efficient.

In other words, you will definitely need a plugin to deal with Spotify, any way you look at it, since Rainmeter doesn't support current versions of Spotify natively. The "good" news is that you shouldn't have to install such a plugin separately, since it should be installed by default when the skin using it is installed. The other "good" part in your case is that changing fonts has nothing to do with the ability of such plugins to do their job, so most likely the cause for things "not working" for you at this time is either still using the modified code where some visual elements are hidden or covered by others, or some changes in the code used to retrieve the info from Spotify or even Spotify being updated to a version that doesn't work well with the used plugin.

That being said, I'm not using Spotify or that skin, so I don't have ways to test these things. You might take a look at skins written by user xenium here or on DeviantArt, or at the WebNowPlaying plugin page, where some details regarding using Spotify with WebNowPlaying might be better explained:

Hopefully, other folks can come with more helpful answers or recommendations regarding this.
