Funny how people's experiences differ. I had a Galaxy S7 for seven years before upgrading. Only reason I upgraded was the charger port was starting to play up. Battery worked everything still works on it perfectly well, even the battery still lasts as long as it did years ago. Personally I don't even want a phone, but these days it just makes everything so much more handy!
For me, I'll never touch an iPhone, seen too many go wrong, but the thing I hate the most is the closed system forcing you to use their software just to do basic stuff with your files! Maybe that changed since I last used one, that was some time ago now.
